Palma will be even easier to visit in the future for holidaymakers, the new app "Welcome Palma" will calculate individually tailored city routes and thus an "easy going" for any vacationers. The app informs in real time about currently busy places, sights, public transport and the weather conditions. Overcrowded areas, as well as stress due to lack of time belong to the past. The app rounds off its offer with suggestions about coveted visitor destinations as well as recommendations from insiders.
"Welcome Palma" was developed by the Balearic Port Authority (Fundación Turismo Palma 365) and the Balearic University and was originally conceived as a kind of tour guide for Mallorca's cruise tourists stay more efficient and relaxed. Likewise, the aim is to be able to better distribute the incoming masses of cruise ships on the city and to prevent the congestion caused by masses.
